What Our Clients Say
Michael Thurston, Destination North Coast
It has been such a pleasure to work with Giovanna and the Sparrowly Group team to deliver a series of highly informative and very practical workshops to help South Australian businesses improve their accessibility and inclusive experiences for their customers. The ability to deliver these workshops online, while still being very engaging and practical, has allowed our operators from all corners of our great state to get involved. As a result of these workshops we have seen our operators actively work on improving how they make themselves more accessible and inclusive to those living with a disability and become more confident in communicating to this important market segment.

A luxury holiday house which opened just prior to devastating bushfires and COVID-19, provided an opportunity to refine business vision and customer markets to become financially viable once the new normal resumed. Working closely with the business owner to understand current and potential target markets and refine marketing to attract that audience, including the family and wedding market. Partnerships were a key outcome from the mentoring program and in continuing to build and grow the business, which led to the establishment of a Facebook group for Hawkesbury tourism operators and another group for the regional wedding market. Since mentoring concluded, the business and business owner has won numerous awards and maintains a consistently high occupancy, rate and positive guest reviews.
A native citrus farmer in Mackay had a lot of ideas when he commenced his mentoring journey. With space available to develop a number of business opportunities including increasing the range of crops, developing value-add products and building accommodation on-site. The program allowed him to validate and refine his business ideas and gain clarity on the best way to evolve. This has provided direction and focus. A long-term plan was developed to build the business and take advantage of the opportunities that the mountain bike trail development will bring. Working with his mentor he gained new skills and confidence navigating council planning and applying for state government grant programs.
